Media Release Creation Process
1. Navigate to the HernandoClerk.us govAccess site and login with your credentials.
*You’ll be sent a verification code to your work email address. Enter in that code to proceed.
2. Here on the “My Dashboard” page, select “Create a News Story”.
This will take you to the form page where you create a news story.
3. Form details are as follows (Subtitle, Introduction, Departments and Member Groups are left blank, unless otherwise specified):
Content Group
Public Information
Title
Title listed in the copy of the Media Release
Thumbnail
ALWAYS:
Browse -> Site Management -> New Thumbnails -> News Thumbnail
Details
Body/details in the copy of the Media Release
Categories
Public Media Release
*Depending on who requested this to be posted, there may be additional categories that will be specified in the ticket.
If you're unable to find the specified category, there may not be be a 'news line' section on that specific department page.
4. Select the “Next Section” button. This will open up the “Channels” section.
If the release can only be posted on a specific date or expire on a specific date, you can select those dates in this section.
Otherwise, just select “Display on home?” to display it on the home page.
6. When you’re done, at the very top of the page “Preview” the story (optional). This will allow you to see the post and all its formatting prior to publishing, if you wish. Otherwise, select "Publish".
